Resistance and strength training has many positive effects on the body. Strength training improves muscle and tendon strength which reduces the risk of injury. Strength training will also improve power and speed and is an important adjunct to any fitness programme. At e s physical health we use isokinetics, stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, treadmills, pilates equipment, theraband and body weight for variable resistance in a strength training programme. Global fitness is an important factor in the prevention of injury and final stage rehabilitation. Amongst our staff we have physiotherapists with masters degrees in sports medicine and qualifications in personal training.
